Chaaa, Chaa, Cha, Changes

I am so happy with the changes that I made to my horse mural. I like it much better than  before. Loads more still to do but it makes me happy to walk by and see it now. I feel as if I can see the light at the end of tunnel now. And light is what I need most. I think I am going to name my horse Whisper.  His nose looks much longer in the photo. It might really be too long but not as much as in the picture.

When I put the base color on the carrots you can see my hand decided to not cooperate with me and decided to just throw the paint brush around. I can’t wait to add all of the little details to make the carrots come to life.

I think I need an orange wall or two or three in my house. It is such a happy color, so full of energy and life. Maybe I should paint every room this color! Change can be a good thing.

Out

Fishy Fishy

I don’t work with clay very often but I was inspired to give it another try after seeing a gorgeous flower made from clay in an art magazine. It didn’t turn out exactly as I wanted but close enough. His name is Fishy Fishy.

Optical Illusion-3/D manipulation

Just playing around with this photo and it looks to me like it pops in a 3-D way. I keep wanting to touch it. It almost seems as if it was knitted at one moment or cut from paper the next.

Mexican Medallion

Spread some cheer with this happy Mexican Medallion! I wish I had made one for myself. I think it’s a good transition necklace for summer to fall. And a great mood lifter for a gray winter day.   My Etsy link.

Necklace for a Niece

Just a little treat that I whipped up for my niece. She’s a little whipper snapper as the old folk would say. She’s the best player on her softball team but she likes girly things too. I believe she is the ripe young age of eight. What sport did you  enjoy the most when you were eight?
