Feed the birds.

With all of this snow, ice and cold I think the birds would appreciate a little extra help. Besides it’s a great way to recycle scraps instead of throwing them in the trash. I took these oranges out and stuck them onto the bare branches of a shrub where the birds hang out. It looks kind of silly but oh well.

Fla. man storms onto school bus after children bully his disabled daughter | syracuse.com

Bravo! I don’t blame this man one bit! I don’t think he should have apologized for it either. What’s a parent to do when the school system won’t do anything about his child being victimized? And a disabled child at that!!!!!!!!!!!!!  More parents need to stand up and strike fear into these children’s hearts. I know that not every child on the bus was responsible for the cruel acts and he knew that too.  A parent has to do what a parent has to do. It’s true if a child can not trust that their parents will take care of them when there is no one else to defend them then who should they turn too? Three cheers for you Mr. Jones. You deserve it. Well done.

Chains of Cruelty

This is the chain that was on a dog that my daughter and her boyfriend found wandering the streets. The dog weighed about twenty pounds. That chain had no business on a dog that small. Any dog for that matter. They spent three hours convincing the dog to come to them so they could give him water which he drank as if he’d been wandering in the desert for years. Notice the wire that was used to hold it together to form a crude collar. She said the dog could not even hold his head up. I pray that those evil bastards who had the dog pay for what they did. I know eventually they will but that can’t come soon enough.

Animal Hero!

My good neighbor saw the kitty with the cup on it’s head in the parking lot across the street. The little one that we tried to save at the beginning of the week and we were unsuccessful.  He noticed the kitten was getting weaker and thought we would have a better chance to help it so we gave it another try and Voila!  He caught it and got the cup off! Yahoo! An animal hero!  The kitty is in my kitty carrier cage with food and water sitting in the shade until I can take it to0 either the vet or our no-kill shelter in the morning.

Just a cat, just a dog or a saviour?

Anyone with children and dogs or even cats for that matter might want to save this story and share with all of your friends and family. If you aren’t as close to your pet as you should be maybe you will rethink that matter after watching this video. It could save your life or your child’s life.

Like A Good Neighbor

I can’t seem to walk out of the house these days without having an animal situation. Last week it was young raccoons, this week stray cats. This evening as I was walking my dog I noticed a black cat running through the parking lot where I was walking. I have seen her about and wondered if she was alright. She isn’t alone that’s for sure. She has two little kittens with her but one of the babies had a clear plastic cup stuck on its head! Oh dear me why do I always have to see this stuff?!

I ran back home and put my dog in the house then called my friend and like a good neighbor he came to help. He always does. He got a pair of thick work gloves and we found the kitten in the shrubbery but it wouldn’t let us near it. So hopefully by running through the shrubs and turning around and about the cup will fall off. Thank God it’s not a bottle as I thought in the beginning or it would be bad news for the poor helpless kitten.

As for me I think I will get a treadmill and stay inside.

Rethink your day, was it really that bad?
