Dog Watercolor – Luna

I would love to show you the photograph that I painted this picture from as it might make more sense if you saw it but I can’t do that as I stupidly, accidentally deleted it! So just to let you know the original was full of shadow and contrast and slighly blurry. It had a certain electric quality to it and a pop that I really liked. But you will have to take my word for it.

Chaaa, Chaa, Cha, Changes

I am so happy with the changes that I made to my horse mural. I like it much better than  before. Loads more still to do but it makes me happy to walk by and see it now. I feel as if I can see the light at the end of tunnel now. And light is what I need most. I think I am going to name my horse Whisper.  His nose looks much longer in the photo. It might really be too long but not as much as in the picture.

When I put the base color on the carrots you can see my hand decided to not cooperate with me and decided to just throw the paint brush around. I can’t wait to add all of the little details to make the carrots come to life.

I think I need an orange wall or two or three in my house. It is such a happy color, so full of energy and life. Maybe I should paint every room this color! Change can be a good thing.

Daniel the Miracle Dog

This fabulous dog survived the gas chamber. I can’t believe we are still doing something so vile Hundreds Want Death-Defying Beagle Named Danieland cruel to animals. There has to be a better option.

Picture from Good Morning America

Some dogs and cats not only don’t get killed by the gas but end up being burned alive in the pile of animals that have been gassed. What did you think happened to them afterwards? Ever given it a thought. There has to be a better option.

What kind of person can do this job? I don’t want to know anyone like that. Even if that person starts off with some sort of good intentions and sound reasoning it has to do something horrible to their mental health. We can send a person to the moon but we can’t figure this out.

No animal should have to live through that or die that way. Can you just imagine their horror. They have to know what is about to happen. They have the best sense of smell ever and they are the most intuitive of animals. There has to be a better option.

Please, please donate to your local shelters and even vet’s offices for spaying and neutering to be done. Donate food, time, energy and love to the animals who are in shelters. If you don’t help them who will?

Life Without Limbs :: Nick Vujicic

This most inspiring book tells the story of Nick Vujicic learning to adapt to life without any limbs.  He has one tiny little foot. Can you even imagine that? I know that I can’t. Nick has found great happiness in life (more than most people), by accepting himself the way he was born and learning to use all of his God-given talents to help others. I haven’t finished it yet but I couldn’t wait to share it with you. This is one book I want to buy for all of my friends and relatives.
