Greg Barret has written an eye-opening book about life in the slums of Thailand and the priest, Father Joe, who has given his life to care for the people who live there. It covers not only day-to-day life but the politics of the situation as well. If you read this book you will see that Father Joe is not your ordinary priest. He doesn’t tippy toe around. He makes things happen and gets things done. He doesn’t mince words and doesn’t always tread lightly, I highly recommend it.
