Macro Lens Hack for iPhone
No I didn’t think of this myself, I saw it somewhere but I can’t remember where. Maybe one of your blogs. If so thanks, it’s cool to play with.
Take a laser pointer light thingy and remove the lens. The lens on mine was very small. I would like to find a larger one. You will need tape and a bobby pin. Use the bobby pin to hold the lens in place over your phone’s camera lens and tape over the bobby pin.
This is a piece of cloth that I was working with and below is a macro of it.
The skin on my finger, I obviously need lotion!
I did find it extremely difficult to hold this still enough to get a good image. Go ahead play around and show us what you get.

A Perfectly Feathered Nest

Paint a leaf with colors of your choice.
Press the leaf onto the paper.
Gage it to see if you will have the right shape.
With more water manipulate the paint into the leaf shape on whatever parts did not transfer. You will get a softer more dreamy effect this way.
Add stems and little dots and specks of color like you normally find on leaves.

Melting Crayons Art
This was a lot of fun although at first I was completely uninspired and didn’t really want to make it. So first I used water-based dye to spray onto the canvas. I tried several different colors and let them all dry in the sun. Then after using a heat gun to melt the crayons about in different places I still wasn’t feeling it. Then all of a sudden I saw fish! So then I went to the bottom of the canvas with a lot of green crayons, melted them then used a plastic knife to start scraping through it to make sea grass and plants. Then I added some magazine cut outs of fish and shells and now I love it! Give it a try and see what you can come up with.
