Please Help The Animals

Please if you can, help the animals at you local shelters, animal control offices and rescue groups. I just saw that horrible SPCA commercial that brings me to tears every time. Usually I get to the remote in time to change it. It’s the most heartbreaking thing I have ever seen. So as I sit here sobbing I ask you to donate food, time and money if you can to your local shelter. Find out how many there are in your area see which one needs what the most. Of course we all know the more money they have the more animals they can help. So maybe you can budget a certain amount each month. No matter how small it will help. If just ten or twenty people in the community planned just five dollars a month that would be a great help.

When you shop at thrift stores look for receiving blankets, they are perfect for the kitties to curl up on. Maybe a childs flannel blanket for larger dogs. When your pet food is on sale buy one get one free give the free one to the shelter.  Do you like to walk in the rain? Then they could sure you use on those rainy days to walk dogs at the shelter. Are you a cleaner by nature? You know a shelter could use you for help in that area.

Now how about you neighborhood. Have you noticed animals in bad situations? Step up to the plate, call someone who can fix the problem. Does a dog need better shelter? Get together with friends and build it a better on! Make it a party. Make more than one. Does a dog need wheat straw to keep warm? But it a load and tell owner you had more than you could use and can you put it in their dogs house for them. Do you see a dog that never gets a walk? Introduce yourself to the owner and ask if you could help them by walking their dog for them once in a while.

In general if you see something that needs to be done, just do it. If you see an animal who needs help, step up to the plate and help it. Keep your eyes open for those you can help.

Carry pet food and water and most certainly blankets for this time of the year. Gloves, leashes, collars etc. In this day and time of everyone having a cell phone there is no reason not stop by the side of the road, safely, to check on a wandering, lost dog. My daughter and her boyfriend do it all the time. As do I. So I implore you to please help the animals.

One last thing to think about. When most people go to the pound to or shelter to pick out a dog they usually go for the cutest, smiliest one there. For a change how about pick the dog who has been there the longest. The one who is the ugliest. The one who needs a great home and loads of love more than any other. But please also consider your lifestyle and which do would dog would fit best in your life.

Thank you everyone! I would love to hear if any of you have any great rescue stories and pics of your dog or cat. They truly are our best friends.

A Chicken Saved Their Lives!

How cool is that?!!!! This family owes their life to their pet chicken whom they took in after the dogs kept chasing it all around their property. This is why we should not eat things with eyeballs. Although I do have to confess that I have eaten a little bit of chicken lately. I rarely do. Why are there no fast food places that serve vegetables?!

A Poem That Will Bring Tears To Your Eyes

I found this poem in the comments section of this article about how the victims siblings were going to cope with the Sandy Hook tragedy. Thomas the person who posted it said he did not write it and does not know who did. Whoever it was I do hope they don’t mind me sharing it. I think it is the most beautiful thing I have ever read in my life.

First however I would like to say that I myself have had an out of body-near death experience. So I can say with full confidence that the verse in the bible that says the peace of heaven is a peace that passes all human understanding is exactly 100% true. There really is no good way for me to describe it. It is a peace not of this world filled with evil and darkness. It is a peace that has no worldly words that can be used to describe it because it is of heaven.

Those sweet, wonderful children are now at the Throne of God in the most peace, light, happiness and love they could ever possibly know.  I realize that it is most difficult for us as parents to think anyone could love our children more than we could, but it is true. God does. We are his children and he created all of us out of love. It breaks his heart to see the pain and suffering we endure here in a place where he planned for us to experience love. He loves us so much he was willing to sacrifice his own Son for us to have a second chance to be in that most perfect place with Him. He knows the agony, terror, sadness and loss of a child. He wants to bring all of us, his children, back into that perfect peace and love.

It is a peace, light and happiness that God wants us all to know. He is waiting for all of us to just ask Him. It is available for all. Just ask. No rules, No hoops to jump through. Just ask Him into your life and life more fully.

Now here is the most beautiful comment that Thomas left:
Twas ‘ 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38 when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven ‘s gate. Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air. They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there. They were filled with such joy; they didn ‘t know what to say. They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day. “where are we?” asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse. “This is heaven” declared a small boy. “We’re spending Christmas at God ‘s house”. When what to their wondering eyes did appear, but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near. He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same. Then He opened His arms and He called them by name. And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring those children all flew into the arms of their King and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace, one small girl turned and looked at Jesus ‘ face. And as if He could read all the questions she had He gently whispered to her, “I ‘ll take care of mom and dad. “then He looked down on earth, the world far below He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe, then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand, “Let My power and presence re-enter this land! “May this country be delivered from the hands of fools” “I’m taking back my nation. I ‘m taking back my schools! “Then He and the children stood up without a sound. “Come now my children let me show you around. “Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran. All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can. And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight, “in the midst of this darkness,” I AM STILL THE LIGHT.”

WTF!!!!!!

Ohio governor spares the life of convicted murderer? Are you kidding me? Just because he is fucking fat! Tough shit dumbass. He killed an innocent woman on purpose.

It’s not right to kill him because his death would be torturous and lingering? Oh to bad. What a shame. Imagine you are at work, doing your job, minding your own business and in comes a guy with a gun pointed at you. He starts firing all around. Is that not torturous and lingering? Can you just imagine how long that second of fear would be? It would be the longest most fearful second ever. It would be torturous. And for your family it would linger forever.

If he did kill that woman he deserves to die no matter what his weight. We are letting to many bad people get away with bad things. We have become softies. I don’t want to pay to house and feed murderers so they can sit around and get to damn fat. My money can be better spent on things like school security. Keep our innocent kids safe and these fat ass bastards away from us as in DEAD.
