Early Morning Knitting
Only a few minutes worth and only because the dog woke me up because the cat woke her up. I think they are working together. The dog just wants her crunchy bones, three of them to be exact. Oh and of course this morning she had to go see if the stray cat was still under the house. At 6:30 in the morning?!

Coming Of Age In Mississippi
Anne Moody takes us on a sad yet inspiring journey through her youth and college years in the scary world of African Americans living in the South during the 1950′s and 60′s. It was heartbreaking to read some of it. It was beyond my realm of thought how people could do some of the things they did and still do to other human beings.
I admire the way Anne stayed on track working for something so meaningful to so many people. She gave up a lot for so many to gain so much. It was as if it was in her very bone marrow to work against the horrible effects of racism.
We have all heard of Rosa Parks but I doubt that many of us really understand how brave she was or what those times were really like. Now we can.
Coming Of Age In Mississipi has given me many thoughts to ponder as well as answered many questions that I had concerning that time period.

Movie Proposal Official MySpace Profile
Movie Proposal Official MySpace Profile.
This is a fun movie. Pretty people to look at. Gorgeous Alaskan scenery. Of course we all know how it ends just like we usually know exactly what kind of candy we are going to buy when we go into the candy store but we still enjoy oohing and ahhing over all of it.

Stray Cat
Today I discovered that a stray cat has been living under my house. Thinking back I believe it has been doing so for at least a year. That is fine by me. I am so glad that it has a warm, dry, safe place out of the rain. When looking into the opening under the house I ended up starring straight into its face about seven feet away from me as it was sitting on top of the largest heating duct under the house. It’s a very large cat so I thought it belonged to a neighbor down street. It must not though. I put a little bowl of food into the opening and when I went back it was all gone. I am so glad to be able to help it. Hopefully we will develop a trusting relationship inspite of my dog and maybe one day the beautiful white and gray cat can live inside the house.
Purple Rain
Have you ever noticed…
you only drop the really good food that you want on the floor. It’s never the broccoli or beets.

New Year Resolution Lists
Everyone is making lists and checking them twice. Not me. Lists are to be avoided like the plague. Lists get lost, thrown away, forgotten or purposely hidden. Lists cause anxiety. They are reality staring you in the face. A push, a shove. A line in the sand. However if I were going to make a list this is what it might look like:
1. Be nicer, (maybe)
2. Organize my house, (yeah right)
3. Streamline and simplify everything possible.
4. Eat healthier, (look at the ingredients on a pack of instant hot chocolate)
5. Teach my grandson to read.
6. Improve my photography skills.
7. Actualy study French.
9. Read God’s Word more because we are a forgetful people.
10.Walk the dog more.
There you go, ten things should be plenty to focus on for the new year. I wish you all well on your own new years resolutions and hope you have a great new year.
